Presbyterian Churches Founded by Missionaries in Brazil

WIP

From the very beginning, with arrival of the first American missionaries in Brazil, one of the main goals was to establish Protestant churches. Over the next century, hundreds of Presbyterian churches were built by missionaries. Churches were developed in big cities like Sao Paulo, Campinas, Rio de Janeiro and in the most remote areas of Brazil in places called Ceres, and Taguatinga. The churches were planted and they grew and flourished. Congregations continually increased in numbers as the good news of the Holy scriptures was preached. These churches, once established, were handed over to Brazilian Presbyterian ministers of the Brazilian Presbyterian church.

Christ is the one who holds the building together and makes it grow into a holy temple for the Lord”. (Ephesians 2:21)
