Bill & Fern Jennings  1960 - 1998

 

Bill and Fern Jennings served as American Presbyterian missionaries in Brazil from 1960 to 1968. They were with the Central Brazil Mission from 1960 - 1972 with the PCUSA and from 1972 - 1998 with the Brazil mission (PCUS).

Among the locations in Brazil they served were the Southwest Goias Presbytery - Quirinopolis, Paranaiguara, Cachoeira Alta, Goais 1960-1971. The IPB board of national missions, Porto Velho & Ji-Parana, Rondonia 1972 - 1981. Conceicao do Araguaia, Para 1982-1983. And, in Patrocinio, Minas Gerais at the Edward Lane Bible Institute from 1984 - 1998.

 

Bill was an evangelist and church planter. Below are photographs of some of the  churches he planted and served at, the Jennings family, and life in Brazil.

Below are photos of the Segunda Igreja Presbiteriana de Ji-Paraná, RO [in the Nova Brasília bairro] - 2009, The Jennings helped start this church in 1973-1974. The first lot (since expanded) cost the equivalent of $15.00.
